Artist: Akintunde Odesola. T.
Gender: Male
Membership Strata: Full
Akintunde Odesola, a Nigerian born visual artist and a poet. Having obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature in English. His artistic inclination was discovered early, even though he was guided to study language first. Proceeding from global perspective, Odesola shares the worry that individuals find in daunting to ensure peace amongst their kinds, along with societal duties and commitments, owing to differences in ideologies and beliefs. His full time studio practice since 2009 pays homage to the vagaries of fauvism and expressionism as he has participated in several projects in public institutions including group exhibitions. In delivering his portraits, he uses colours to project an independent mood and structure, without necessarily being representational or true to natural experience. Though his compositions are balanced with eccentric colour assignment. Such painterly laying technique encompasses energetic emotions, which place his intuition above the pedagogy of elevated subject matter. He is a member of Society Of Nigerian Artists (SNA). Solo Exhibition: 2018-How We Finally Die, National Museum Lagos. Selected Group Exhibition: 2018-October Rain, Society Of Nigerian Artists, Thoughtpyramid ikoyi,Lagos. 2018-Art for Alzheimer Disease (GWAF), Morehouse Hotel Ikoyi Logos.

Membership Strata: Master
Born in Ikorodu on the 1st of December 1979. He hails from Delta state, Nigeria. He holds National Diploma (2006) and Higher National Diploma in painting from Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi (2009). He is the founder of The Ingenious Minds, a pioneering member of Araism Movement and the arts manager /CEO, Jonix Studios, Lagos. He lives and works in Lagos. He is a versatile artist who works with different media and techniques. His paintings are colourful yet subtle. He uses lines in creating rhythmic flows of shapes across his subjects and infuses three dimensional surface qualities to coloured shapes through colour orchestration. He has developed ‘Goemetrism’ as his own personalized style. He has been exploring the use of shapes and lines in analyzing the forms of his subjects since 2005 and he renders these analyzes in a convincing stylized figurative dramatic abstraction. He explores the behavioral characteristics of human activity as it affects the social, cultural and economic situation in the society. His new body of serial works in painting and mixed media expresses his innate believe that every human needs purity of heart, body and soul. As violence, insecurity and economy hardship continue to ravage our society, using visual aids as educational tool of rechanneling the minds to empathy can reduce and erase the daily menace cause by greed and unkind intentional acts. His paintings lay emphasis on the continuous hustle to sieve out junks of impunities of information in the media, prints, social network which defect the society. He had participated in over 45 national and international exhibitions which include his Solo exhibition at Terra Kulture Art Gallery August 19th 2017. Lagos Nigeria and “Peace Mechanism” by Santorini Biennale, Greece 2014. Dak’art 2014, Dakar Biennale Senegal (Pan African Circle of Artists). 2014. His works are highly collected in Nigeria, United States and U.K.
